It is the careful, accurate work that happens after the bulk earthworks are done and before the slab, footings or services go in.

Cost depends on the scope and depth of the dig, the soil conditions, the complexity of the set-out and the site access available. A straightforward footing trench on an open residential site is a different job to a multi-line service dig in a confined space. Yes. We carry compact excavators suited to narrow sites, side passages, fenced backyards and other restricted access situations. Before we quote we confirm which machine will fit the site and factor that into the programme, so there are no access surprises on the day.

Duration depends on the volume of the dig, the number of footing runs or service trenches, soil conditions and access. A single-residence footing trench is typically a one-day job; larger commercial or multi-run service digs run longer. We confirm a programmed start and finish date as part of the written quote.
